Then, before either of them could say anything else, I lifted my shirt and shrugged it off. I tossed it aside and stood there in my bra and jeans, silently daring either of them to try to make me leave.

I could feel their eyes on me, roaming up and down over my body before they looked back at each other.

“It wouldn’t have to be anything serious,” Cade said, then looked over at me. “Right? We’re just talking about a fling? A one-time thing?”

I shrugged. “I’m not limiting myself to just one time. But yeah, if that’s what you both want, then I’m happy with a fling.”

Not exactly the whole truth, but whatever. I would have been happy with much more than a fling, but it wasn’t like I was expecting either of them to drop down on one knee and propose or anything. And who was to say they wouldn’t change their mind about wanting more once we’d had our little fling?

Either way, I wanted them both naked.

  With me.

  Now.

I was pretty sure Cade was on board with whatever I had in mind, but he was clearly waiting on the go-ahead from Boone. And Boone looked like he might need a little more persuading. The way his eyes kept darting back to my barely covered breasts, though, I could tell it wouldn’t take much.

I walked toward Boone and didn’t stop until just a few inches separated our bodies. He was looking me in the eyes now, and I was close enough to see the little muscle in his jaw clench as I reached behind my back and unclasped my bra.

  Just a little more…

I gave a little shrug and the lacy fabric fell away, leaving me exposed right in front of him. I couldn’t help but shiver as he finally looked down again at my pale breasts. God, that look. A wave of desire washed over me, pebbling my nipples and making me gasp as I took one more step, closing the gap between us as I pressed those sensitive little buds up against the coarse fabric of his shirt.

“Just a fling,” I whispered, then repeated my earlier question. “Why are you fighting it?”

He held my gaze for what felt like forever. That muscle in his jaw was working overtime, and I really thought for a moment that he would still find an excuse to deny what we both—what we all—wanted.

But he didn’t deny it. He didn’t say anything else. He simply reached out, put his arms around me, and pulled me in tight as his lips crushed mine. The kiss was so sudden and powerful that it almost hurt, but it was the best pain I’d ever felt. Just like everything else about him, it was intense and rough and real.

This was just what I needed, though. Boone’s hard kiss made my whole body come alive, and I probably would have melted into a puddle on the floor if he hadn’t been holding me there against him.

And then, oh, God, I felt another pair of hands on my back, on my ass, on my thighs as they reached around and started unbuttoning my jeans.

“Yes,” I murmured, tilting my head back as Boone’s mouth moved down to my jaw and then to my neck. “Please don’t stop.”

“We’re just getting started, baby.” Cade’s deep voice vibrated through me as his lips brushed against the back of my neck. And then when he finally got my jeans and panties shoved down around my thighs and the cool air hit my naked body, I couldn’t help but moan and arch my back in shuddering heat.

Boone’s mouth moved down to my breasts, his tongue and teeth and fingers teasing and pinching and nibbling at my nipples while Cade’s hard body pressed against my back.

Cade’s fingers—or maybe Boone’s, I wasn’t sure anymore—were between my legs, slipping between my slick folds and brushing up against my most sensitive spot over and over again until I was begging, pleading for more.

  “Oh, God,” I moaned. “Oh my God… please… yes… need it…”

“That’s it, beautiful,” Cade growled. “Gonna make you come… but not yet.”

“No,” Boone said, rising and then giving me another quick, rough kiss. “Not yet. Not until I’m inside you.”

Just hearing those words nearly pushed me over the edge. I wanted—needed—both of them so badly, and my body was so eager that I was starting to tremble all over.

“Stay right here,” Boone said, stepping away and leaving me in Cade’s strong and very capable hands.

“We’re not going anywhere, are we, beautiful?” Cade murmured, still standing behind me, still kissing and nipping at the base of my neck and still making my body spasm as he fingered me deeper.

Boone might have been gone for a couple of minutes or a couple of hours—I was too far gone to know for sure. But I definitely knew when he came back. He was completely naked and had just finished putting a condom on the hard, thick cock that was pointing right at my pussy as he stepped in front of me again.

I reached for him, ready for him to fuck me right then and there. But no. He caught my wrists and shook his head. “Not yet, sexy.” He looked over my shoulder at Cade and then nodded toward the bed. “Let’s get her over there. Let’s make her feel real good.”

  Oh, God.

Isn’t that what they had already been doing? I wasn’t sure if my body could handle feeling even better, but I was certainly willing to try.

Within seconds, they had carried me over to the small bed and laid me down on the thin mattress with my legs hanging off the end. There was no way in hell I would have wanted to sleep here under normal circumstances. But tonight? With these two guys? I’d lie down on a pile of rocks if it meant I got to be with them.

Cade and Boone didn’t give me much time to think about the lumpy mattress, though. With Boone positioning himself between my legs and Cade stepping out of his boxers right next to me, there was more than enough going on to keep me distracted.

“Are you gonna open that pretty mouth for me, baby?” Cade asked, stepping close until his hard cock was just inches away from my face. “Gonna suck me while Boone makes that tight pussy feel real good?”

“Please, yes,” I whimpered. “Need it. Need both of you.”

They didn’t waste any time. I could feel the head of Boone’s cock slip inside of me as I opened my mouth to take Cade’s thick shaft as far back as I could.

“Fuck, you look so sexy like this,” Cade murmured, threading his fingers through my hair as he guided my head up and down on his cock. “That warm mouth and those pretty lips stretched tight around me. Gonna make me come right down that pretty little throat.”

God, I should have been blushing from hearing him talk dirty like that. Just like I should have been ashamed of myself for begging so unapologetically just a few minutes ago.

But I wasn’t embarrassed. I wasn’t ashamed. They were making me feel things that I’d never felt before, and I was enjoying every second of it.

Boone’s hands moved up to my hips, gripping me tightly as he began to fuck me harder. “So tight, Janessa,” he groaned. “Jesus, you feel so good. I’ve waited so long for this.”

“Pretty sure we’ve all been waiting for this,” Cade said, grinning.

I could only moan around the thick cock filling my mouth, but I trusted they both knew that I felt the same way. I’d been waiting—fantasizing and hoping—for this moment for what felt like forever.

And now that it was finally here, it was so much better than I could have ever imagined.

My body was on fire; every single nerve ending from my head to my toes was alive and electrified. With each of them moving faster, fucking me harder, making me suck deeper, it was almost sensory overload. I closed my eyes as the waves of pleasure started radiating from my core, my climax building and threatening to overtake me with every thrust.

“Oh, damn,” I panted, my eyes fluttering open and Cade’s cock falling from my mouth as my whole body started to feel hot and tight and floaty. “Oh, God, oh, God…”

“That’s it, baby,” Cade growled, stroking himself as he looked down at me. “I’m right here with you. Just a little more…”

“Gonna be a good girl and come for us?” Boone asked. “Are you ready, Janessa?”

  “Plea
se,” I begged. “Please… I need it… please let me…”

I couldn’t even speak in complete sentences anymore, but it didn’t matter. They both knew what I needed. And they were both ready to give it to me.

“I’ve got you,” Boone said, still hammering in and out between my legs, harder and faster with each thrust. “Just let go, babe. Come for us.”

“Come for us, beautiful,” Cade echoed. “Come, Janessa. Now.”

It was all I needed to hear.

My vision blurred and my body started tingling all over and I just… let go. I cried out as waves of pleasure washed over me, one after another as my body quaked.

Cade and Boone finished at the same time, hot jets erupting all around me, our hot, sticky bodies collapsing together, totally spent, onto the small bed.

I don’t know how the three of us managed to fit, but I wasn’t questioning it. And I wasn’t moving.

This was right where I wanted to be, and it was where I was going to stay for the rest of the night.

  Chapter 16

  Janessa

I felt happy—almost giddy, really—as I looked around the breakfast table. My best friends were there. My two sexy men were there. My uncle was there. All of the people I cared for most in the world were in the same place at the same time for the first time since… well, ever?

  And it was really nice.

“You sure are in a good mood this morning,” my uncle said, giving me a curious look from across the table. “Maybe you should stay busy like you did yesterday more often. The hard work seems to agree with you.”

I tried not to laugh as everyone looked my way. I definitely wasn’t going to make eye contact with Cade or Boone. And God, were Daisy Lynn and Becca giving me funny looks, too? Did they know what happened last night? Had they heard me leave the house?

I knew for sure Uncle Justin hadn’t found out. There was no way he would have been sitting there so calmly with his eggs and bacon. But the girls? I wasn’t so sure.

“Maybe it does agree with me,” I said, thinking more about the amazing time I’d had last night in the bunkhouse rather than any of the actual work I’d done the day before. “But yeah, I’m feeling pretty good today.”

“Have you heard from the sheriff yet this morning, Justin?” Boone asked, sounding a little more gruff than usual. And was he blushing a little? God, either I was being super paranoid or none of us were very good at keeping a secret. Maybe it was a little of both. “I’m curious to see what he has to say about the evidence we’ve seen here.”

Uncle Justin nodded. “He should be here within the hour, actually. I told him I’d show him around and give a statement.” He looked over at Daisy Lynn and Becca. “I’m afraid you girls have come to visit at a rather unfortunate time, but don’t let any of this scare you. We’re all taking steps to make sure this place is safe and secure twenty-four-seven.”

“We’re not scared, Mr. Thoreson.” Daisy Lynn smiled sweetly. “I know I slept like a baby last night. Didn’t you, Becca?”

Becca nodded, then looked over at me. “It was so quiet in my room. I didn’t hear a thing once my head hit the pillow.”

I felt my face flush. She knew. They both knew. Not that I thought they would tell my uncle, of course—girl code was still a thing, after all—but still. If they’d heard me leave the house last night, I must not have been as quiet as I’d thought. I’d definitely have to be more careful next time.

“Sounds like we all slept really well, then,” I said, hoping I sounded a lot less nervous than I felt at that moment. “And I guess we’d better finish breakfast soon if the sheriff is on his way.”

“Good idea,” Cade added, grinning as he glanced over at me. “Sounds like we might have another long day ahead of us.”

Yeah. It was absolutely going to be a long day. But I was still smiling. It was going to take a lot more than an awkward breakfast to change that.

Daisy Lynn, Becca, and I were standing on the front porch when the sheriff and his deputy pulled up. I was surprised that the girls hadn’t asked me about last night the moment we were out of earshot from my uncle, but I knew it was just a matter of time.

Maybe they hadn’t guessed exactly what I’d been up to… but no. The three of us knew each other too well. If they’d heard me leave my room in the middle of the night, it would have been easy enough for them to guess where I’d gone. For all I knew, they might have even seen me walk across the field to the bunkhouse.

“Janessa,” Daisy Lynn whispered, elbowing me as the men got out of their patrol car. “Why didn’t you tell us you had such hot lawmen out here?”

  I laughed. “What? Really?”

I cocked my head to the side as I looked at Sheriff Prescott and Deputy Cole. Sure, they were attractive guys—no doubt about that. I just never would have guessed either of them to be Daisy Lynn’s type.

Then again, she’d never really been very open about her dating life while the three of us lived in the dorms. But the way she was eyeing those two men? Yeah, it was pretty clear that she was interested.

“They’re both gorgeous,” she said, nodding. “Seriously. Makes me want to run out and commit some crimes.”

I snorted. “I think there might be easier ways to get their attention, but don’t let me stop you.” I was still watching the guys, trying to see what Daisy Lynn might have seen. “I guess I’ve just never looked at them like that before.”

“No,” Becca said. “I guess you probably haven’t…”

“What does that mean?” I quirked an eyebrow. Out of the three of us, Becca had always been the quiet one. She didn’t talk much unless she really had something to say. And with that little comment?

She definitely had something to say.

Becca gave me a knowing smile. “Nothing, really… just… it’s pretty obvious you’ve had your eyes on a couple of other guys, that’s all.”

She wasn’t wrong, and I wasn’t going to lie or pretend.

“Is it really that obvious?” I asked.

They both laughed. “Come on, Janessa,” Daisy Lynn rolled her eyes in my direction. “They couldn’t even let you out of their sight long enough for you to come pick us up from the bus station. Pretty sure it’s obvious to anyone with eyes that the three of you have something going on.”

“Does your uncle know?” Becca asked.

I sighed. “Sort of. We’ve talked about it before, but I don’t think he’s really taking me seriously. I have a feeling he thinks it’s just a crush or something, but it’s more than that.”

I’d never been this open about my feelings for Cade and Boone before, but it felt good to finally admit out loud that I had real feelings for them—even though I still didn’t know what that might mean for the three of us, or if they would eventually feel the same way. Both guys had made it pretty clear last night that this was just a fling, but… a girl could still hope, right?

As if they’d been summoned by my thoughts, Cade and Boone came around the side of the house with my uncle to meet the sheriff and the deputy in the driveway. I couldn’t take my eyes off my two guys as they shook hands and clapped the sheriff on the back like they were old friends.

Cade and Boone were just so confident and strong, so sure of themselves but in completely different ways. Cade’s personality was a little cockier overall, while Boone was steady but definitely cocky in the bedroom. There was no doubt in my mind that they were both good men.

“You’re doing it again,” Becca snickered.

“What?” I asked, reluctantly looking away from my guys to meet her gaze. “I’m not doing anything.”

  “You’re staring. Like… a lot.”

“I am not staring,” I lied, feeling my face flush.

“Girl,” Daisy Lynn joined in. “You’re staring like it’s the Fourth of July and you want a hot dog real bad.”

Becca burst out laughing and my mouth fell open as all five guys turned to look in our direction.

  “Oh, geez,” I said, un
able to hold back a laugh of my own. “I hate you both. Come on, now they’ve seen us and we have to go be serious for a while.”

I did my best to school my features as we walked across the yard to where the guys were standing. My uncle seemed to be doing most of the talking, which was fine with me. I was more than happy to stay back by Cade and Boone while Sheriff Prescott took my uncle’s statement.

Daisy Lynn and Becca hadn’t wasted any time introducing themselves to Cole, the deputy. I was trying to listen to both conversations at once, but I was also more than a little distracted by the way Cade and Boone kept looking at me. The heat in their eyes was unmistakable, and it was just making me wish that the three of us could be alone instead of dealing with all of this police drama.

“Have you all met the guys who bought the old Foster ranch yet?” Sheriff Prescott turned his attention to me and the guys.

I shook my head. “I didn’t realize the sale had gone through.”

“Me, neither,” Cade said. “Last I heard, some people were looking at it or had made an offer. But no, we haven’t met the buyers. Do you think they could have had something to do with the poisonings?”

“I don’t think so,” the sheriff said. “We can’t entirely rule anyone out at this point, of course, but they seem like good guys to me. Ex-military. And anyway, the evidence so far does seem to point in… other directions.”

As he spoke, a pickup truck came up the driveway and parked behind the patrol car. I had to smile. Logan, the vet, had come at the perfect time. Now he would be able to give his confirmation of exactly which direction the evidence was pointing.

“Morning, Sheriff,” Logan said, waving as he got out of his truck. “Justin, Janessa… everyone.”

He’d barely even glanced over at Cade and Boone, and I immediately felt my blood pressure start to rise. I still didn’t exactly understand what his issue was with my guys, but I was getting tired of the sideways glances and the tense comments.
